My New Journal

This week we got journals from our funny teacher Mrs Drummond.
After every lunch we write about what we are grateful for in our journals. And they all have different pictures at the front.
If we want we write a picture with it. It is for letting all our bad thoughts out and good thoughts in.
This was my book i got i think its pretty cool especially if i get a dog! : )

Paper Shapes

Today we made paper shapes with a new teacher Mrs carlsen.

And we got to choose what colour we want and what drawings we

want on it.

Tall,bold and alive.

Hard to cut down with blunt tools

Speech Finals

Yesterday the whole school did the SPEECH FINALS! It took a while but it was interesting to watch the speeches and I love all the topics they wrote about like monkeys, How the English language is stupid and even how a toilet can save your life. 
for 1st place year 6 was Mia Growdon
1st place for year 5 was Miranda Flexman. 1st place for year 4 was George Hamrahan.

Assembly

Last week we did assembly. It was very fun and cool. We learnt about stereotypes and how not to judge people and not to make assumptions on people that are different cultures or different genders. We did a play about stereotypes and how not to judge people about their gender of culture.
We also did a song  (a song about me).

Sun poem

The sun is a chilli
filling the sky with its heat.
baking the earth.

The sun is a candle
illuminating the darkness.
it is like lava
spreading  in a period of time.

The sun is a fire ball

zooming across the bright sky.
it is a BBQ cooking the bright sand with
its fire.


The sun is amazing as it rolls
around the world.

Marae trip

On Wednesday we went to a marae. It was very fun and exciting. All the year five and sixes Boys and some year fours had to do the haka before we left. We also did a song and did some Maori counting up to Seven and making some beats.And had some delicious milos and food and lots of fruit. After that we played outside then came back in.
